Linda Emerson
Drawing on her expertise in accounting, organizational leadership and business
management, Linda has been providing business consulting and financial services
to small and medium sized businesses for the past seven years. She leverages
her first-hand knowledge of the demands of business ownership and employee
management to create a holistic strategy for achieving her clients’ financial
and business goals. This is the hallmark of her approach with clients.
Her career began as a volunteer to a variety of community-based coalitions
in San Francisco providing organizational leadership. From successful fundraising
events to managing political campaigns, Linda brought her passion for results
and collaborative mindset to each endeavor.
While working on her degree in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior,
Linda accepted a position with a small medical software group, developing
systems as well as marketing tools and managed the team of beta test sites
across the country. She quickly moved up in the organization to take on a
key leadership role and assist the company in its acquisition by a medical
management group.
Linda then made the move to the world of accounting and quickly established
herself in the role of Firm Administrator of a growing accounting corporation
in the Bay Area. A fast learner with a focus on results, she assisted in the
successful development of the firm and played a pivotal role in its acquisition
by American Express Tax & Business Services. Following the company’s
acquisition, Linda accepted the position of Regional Transition Director and
assisted other accounting firms throughout the Western United States in their
mergers with American Express.
Because her passion has always been small business environments, she decided
it was time to blend her financial, organizational and business development
experience and became a first-time business owner when she successfully opened
Caffe Sumatra in the mountain resort town of Twain Harte. Five years later,
Caffe Sumatra was sold for a significant profit.
Linda’s desire to share the depth and breadth of her knowledge with
other entrepreneurial businesses prompted her to launch Emerson & Associates.
Within a short period of time, her company has earned a reputation as the
go-to business service firm and today she currently advises more than two
dozen clients in a variety of industries.
